- NO NEW ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY THAT ARTICLES ARE BROUGHT INTO THE FAIR THAT HAVE NOT BEEN REGISTERED AS OF THE JULY 14th DEADLINE. FOR THOSE WHO HAVE PURCHASED BLANK GARDENING TAGS, CLASS INFORMATION MAY BE COMPLETED AT TIME ENTRIES ARE DROPPED OFF.
- ONE ENTRY PER CLASS PER PERSON.
- ALL ENTRIES MUST NOT HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY ENTERED IN MAPLE RIDGE FAIR/COUNTRY FEST.

2025 Entry drop off and pick up dates to remember:
Tuesday, July 22nd: Photography, Needlework, Arts, Crafts & Hobbies entries in between 4pm & 8pm
Thursday, July 24th: Home Cooking and Garden Produce entries in between 4pm & 8pm
Friday, July 25th: Home Cooking and Garden Produce entries in between 10am & noon
Monday, July 28th: Pick up entries in between 4pm & 7pm
To avoid extra workload for volunteers we need everyone to pick up their articles after the fair. We need prior written permission for those who are unable to pick up their articles or if you are unable to have someone come and pick them up for you. We have limited time having the building and there will be lack of security in the building if articles are left. Note: No special prizes will be mailed to winners.
Theme Class — “BARNYARD BOOGIE"
This year, the theme of the Home Arts and Garden building is “BARNYARD BOOGIE". Using your creativity, imagination and decorative skills, show us your vision using the “BARNYARD BOOGIE” theme. This theme allows you to have fun and let your imagination go wild. You are permitted to use any interpretation of the theme you like.
PHOTOGRAPHY RULES (Please also see General Rules at the beginning of Prize Book)
- MOUNTING: to protect prints from damage, all photos must be mounted on a firm backing (poster board) with ½ inch to 1-inch mat border (either black or white only). Frames or glass will NOT be accepted.
- NO UNMOUNTED PHOTOGRAPHS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
- All work must be that of the entrant, other than pictures pre-1960 can be someone else, non-professional.
- All photos must be marked on the back with the entrants name and class entered and on photo paper.
- All print entries must have the top of the photo indicated on the back.
- No computer manipulation except for classes.
- One entry per class per person.
- All pictures must be 4x6 or 5x7. Nothing larger.
- All entries submitted by the same exhibitor must be distinctly different from each other. For example, identical photos/images may not be entered under different classes.
- Judging will be done on Wednesday
- AMATEUR photographers only. (A professional is any person who earns 50% or more of their income from photography).

History Before 1960 and Pioneer Life
Pictures must be taken by a non-professional before 1960, does not have to be taken by person submitting photo. Photos may be any size up to 5”x7” – some older pictures are smaller, e.g. 2 ½” x 3 ½”.
